Model: HO gauge AC. Printed variant of the BR 187 in the design of MRCE in Era VI. The electric locomotive is factory-equipped with a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker.

The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital centers, a new quality mark, fits mfx®, was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx® test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that Piko products with the fits mfx® logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
