Through the history of the Märklin catalog titles.
This car is decorated with a very special painting. The year 1933 at Märklin was marked by a major, even company-changing, introduction of new products. Our heraldic animal was born! The legendary, legendary SBB Crocodile Ce 6/8 II as a sheet metal miniature. Available from Märklin in gauges 0 and 1 under the item number CCS 66/12920 or 12921, which still gives collectors of historic tin toys goosebumps. The only difference between reality and artistic implementation: At that time, the Crocodile was only available from Märklin in a green color scheme. Next to the crocodile is the Flying Hamburger, which was one of the best sellers in the Märklin range at the time. A class 01 express locomotive runs a high-quality express train with sleeping and dining cars across the two trains. The BR 01, which was also available in green from Märklin at the time as HR 66/12920, was of course never available in green as a prototype. Due to the size of the painting, we decided to cut it in half and depict one half on each side of the car. In this way, the many small details come into their own even better. . .
