Description

Model: HO gauge DC. DB class 140 variant in beige-blue paint scheme in Era IV. With the class 140, Piko turns to an absolute classic of the German Federal Railroad. The bread and butter locomotive achieved great popularity due to its high number of units and decades of use. The model has numerous extras, including free-standing handle bars, digitally switchable cab lighting and enclosed brake hoses. The five-pole motor, which drives all four axles, provides excellent running characteristics with its two large flywheel masses and current collection via eight wheels. In order to ensure high tractive effort, the compact model has, in addition to the zinc die-cast frame, two traction tyres that sit on the inside running axles of both bogies in a diagonal arrangement to each other.
