Model: HO gauge DC. Electric locomotive series 186 of the Deutsche Bahn. With separately attached plug-in parts, partly executed in etching technique. Version with snow plow on the chassis. Switchable front/tail light with DIP switch. Used in international freight transport.
Prototype: The class 186 is a multi-system locomotive of the second TRAXX generation from Bombardier. Based on the TRAXX F140 AC2, the four-system locomotive types F140 MS(2e) were developed from 2004 with additional equipment for the DC networks with 1.5 kV (Netherlands, France) and 3 kV (Belgium, Poland and Italy), the corresponding additional equipment and train protection systems provided. With a service weight of 85 t, they deliver 5,600 kW. The maximum speed is 140 km/h. The 65 locomotives of the DB AG (DB Cargo, Euro Cargo Rail) are mainly to be found in Germany, France and Belgium.
