Model: HO gauge DC. Electric locomotive Re 475 425 of the Swiss railway company BLS Cargo. For the first time in the new „Alpinist“ design with prototypical high design of the control panel at the driver’s cab and free-standing handle bars, partially made of metal. Prototype: BLS Cargo decided in 2019 to increase its existing Vectron fleet of around 15 locomotives by 25 machines. The new locomotives now include Belgium in addition to the country packages Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands. Visually, the locomotives differ mainly in their newly designed sides. The design moves back a little closer to their slogan „The Alpinists“ and shows mountaineers at lofty heights in the impressive Swiss mountains. We dedicate the chosen operating number Re 475 425 to the Re 425 fleet, which has been replaced by the new Vectron locomotives, thus sending a true Swiss into retirement.
