Model: HO gauge DC. Electric locomotive series 1043 of the Austrian Federal Railways. Original Sweden design with ÖBB impeller. Fine etched signs with the locomotive numbers and impeller included. Roof configuration in original condition. Modification of the lamps according to the ÖBB standard. The headlight can be switched with a DIP switch.
Prototype: In order to meet the ÖBB’s request for rapid delivery of new locomotives for freight traffic on the Tauernbahn, four locomotives were branched off from a series of Swedish Type Rc 2s that was under construction. The locomotives equipped with thyristor technology proved themselves well and a total of ten units were delivered by 1974. Hardly any other series of the ÖBB had such a wide range of lettering variants over the course of their service life.
