Model: HO gauge AC. The following applies to both locomotives: With mfx+ digital decoder and extensive light and sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion with flywheel mass, centrally mounted. 4 axles powered via cardan. Traction tyres. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel and 1 white marker light (Swiss light changeover) will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The lighting can be switched to 1 red marker light when the locomotive is running solo. Headlights on locomotive side 2 and 1 can each be switched off separately digitally. Double A-light as red emergency stop signal. The main beam headlights, cab lighting, and engine room lighting can each be controlled separately in digital operation. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. The locomotive has metal side and front grab irons. Couplings can be exchanged for enclosed front skirts. Prototype: 2 Re 421 electric locomotives in different paint schemes. 1 electric locomotive in TEE paint scheme purple/beige with the road number 421 393-0 and 1 electric locomotive in Rheingold paint scheme cobalt blue/beige with the road number 421 387-2. Privately owned locomotives of the International Rolling Stock Investment GmbH (IRSI), operated by TR Trains Rail AG. Operating condition around 2020.
