Model: HO gauge DC. The Trix RABe 501 Giruno high-speed multiple unit is an impressive model with a 5-piece basic set. The powered rail car train consists of a G restaurant car, as well as the two F and H centre cars on the left and right, which are coupled together via Jakobs bogies. Equipped with a digital decoder, the multiple unit has extensive sound and light functions. The controlled high-performance drive with a flywheel mass in the restaurant car enables realistic driving behaviour. All 4 axles in both Jakobs bogies of the restaurant car are driven via cardan and thus ensure reliable traction. Traction tyres ensure optimal grip on the ground. The driver’s cabs of the end cars are equipped with interior furnishings, which ensures a high level of detail and a realistic representation. The power supply, which is dependent on the direction of travel, is provided by the respective front end car, which enables simple operation.Thanks to the baffle guide in the Jakobs bogies, the three-light headlights and the two red tail lights of the multiple unit change depending on the direction of travel. This can be switched both conventionally and digitally. In addition, a white tail light (Swiss light change) is possible. Other light functions can be switched separately. The standard interior lighting is supplied via the continuous electrical connection of the entire train. The driver’s cab and driver’s desk lighting can each be digitally switched separately. The entire lighting is operated with warm white and red LED lights, which are maintenance-free. The pantographs on the F and H centre cars can each be raised and lowered separately using the digital function. The scale reproduction of the multiple unit ensures a high level of detail. The multiple unit can be used on a minimum radius of 360 mm.
